• Perhaps I was wrong on the Milgauss

  Over on August 10, I wrote this post on the subject (again) Rolex Milgauss ref.116400, almost a year after his introduction during Basle 2007 (which I covered here). The post was not very positive, because it seemed to me that Milgauss was not the immediate blow Rolex had hoped for. However, rapid ahead at 2009, it seems that the exaggeration regains a little. The availability of improved Milgauss (you can even find the sapphire version green completely easily) and the prices fell on an interesting level.

  My friend John Chan of watch traded his Date-Juste for Milgauss (black dial) and after test of his and of one with the airport, the watch does not let to me leave. Last week, I ran in JK, owner of JKWatchStore.nl, and it showed me Milgauss on its wrist. It had approximately never been more enthusiastic time. Almost all of the silent partners/advertisers of this blog which sell Rolex or the watches used, have one in stock at present. The price of a model not-green of sapphire is the euro roughly 3500. In the near future, I want to write a review on the green sapphire model, which I can if all well will borrow during one day or thus.

  To be honest, one of the nicest models of Rolex is in my opinion the explorer. I bought last year for my friend, whom I documented on the forum of Rolex of my friendly neighbors in Germany, you can look at the magazine while clicking on here. However, with 36mm, this watch is simply too small for me. Although I do not occupy myself to use smaller watches, this one seems simply awkward on my wrist.

  Anyhows, I derives with far still, Milgauss seems to be (after a second test and thought) a perfect alternative for the explorer. The dial of the explorer is not as clean as the dial of Milgauss, but it does not obtain the broken `by a window of date and smooth mounting gives to the watch calm `and a minimized glance. Almost sophisticated.

  First of all me were afraid occasion would annoy me, although I liked the idea as of the beginning, but I do not think that it will hold me behind to buy one in the future. I can always in any event have removed it by my clock and watch maker that the next photograph is taken by the member of elegant R-L-X, and he wrote with an interesting review on Milgauss including/understanding much history on this antimagnetic predecessors.

• Perrelet: Diamond Flower
